The two charts below from Andy Smith's (Bache Commodities) latest piece are a humorous use of US house prices to illustrate the problem of Big Government. The first shows the real boom is in Government jobs and lobbying. The second how gold buyers aren't fooled by America's shift from productive to unproductive jobs.

Quick Tip: Washing Your Brushes
So I haven't really been doing quick tips in a while, & I hope these are helpful to someone! :) I try to keep them basic & well, quick, but that doesn't always work out haha.
-*Washing Your Makeup Brushes*-
You need to wash your makeup brushes often as bacteria will build which will not be good for your skin & eyes.
In Between Uses
Use a Brush Cleanser daily/ after use to disinfect your brushes & to help them keep for staining. As far as I'm aware, they dry pretty quickly so you can use them not long after if you have to. You can purchase this from MAC & E.L.F & I'm sure there are other good ones out there.
Deep Cleaning
I go by washing my face brushes that I use all the time once a week, and washing my eye brushes to once a month. That's mainly because I'm lazy :) However I think that face brushes are more important because they are in frequent contact with your skin, so you don't want to develop pimples from the bacteria that may be hiding.
1) Apply a tiny bit of Extra Virgin Olive Oil on a paper towel, & swipe your brush onto it in one direction until you feel like its enough. I use this 'coz it breaks down the makeup which makes it easier to wash it all out, and also gets out the stains easier. It also keeps my brushes softer since I find that it conditions them.
2) Fill up your basin with warmish water- not too hot or it will damage the bristles. Wet it by dipping it in, making sure not to get water past the ferrule (the metal part where the handle is clamped on to the bristles).
3) Apply a tiny bit of baby shampoo/ your shampoo of choice & rub it in to the bristles, keep doing this & washing it out until no more makeup comes out.
4) Let it dry flat on a hand towel overnight, do not blow dry!
I thought it would be funny to note that sometimes I will go through my friends brushes & instruct them to wash them coz I've seen horrendous ones lol! But that's just the makeup-obsessive side coming out in me :P
*Disclaimer: This is what I have found that works for me, using the EVOO has not effected my brushes in a bad way. This is also a basic guide so you can substitute products for what suits you*

2 Peachy Looks + Similar Lips
These are 2 looks from the other week, I am kicking myself because I sometimes take pics of the products I use so I can remember, however I didn't and I am so fustrated coz I wanna know what I used on the lips lol! So I dug out my lipsticks & swatched a few, but due to the lighting they look different =/ Hmmmm. I am gonna take a guess!
1st look..
As for the cheeks I am pretty sure I am wearing that Fake MAC blush which is a peachy colour.

2nd Look
So I got all my lipsticks out & swatched a few.... The closet ones I can think of is Revlon's Pink About It (A matte so I'm not sure), Rimmel's Pink Flame.. (Another matte), Nyx's Spellbound (which is more of a hotter pink).. Oh well. I am sure I will come across it one day :P Could be a range of l/l, l/s & l/g.
Well thanks for reading my quest! haha :P Any (nice) comments/questions are welcome!
1st look..
![]() | |||
I used the e/s from Kate that I bought in Phuket. Lovely colours but I had to really pack them on to get them to show up nicely. |

2nd Look
![]() | |
wow, sorry for the shocking blending! This stuff is hard to use... or is it just me hmmmm |
![]() |
Do I need to say that this is not my skin haha |
On the eyes I used the fake MAC 8 palette... man was it hard to get anything decent out of that!, probably why the blending didn't turn out too well, & Black Bean for eyeliner. On the cheeks is Physicians Formula Mineral Glow Pearls.
Well thanks for reading my quest! haha :P Any (nice) comments/questions are welcome!

Holiday Haul
Yes finally I am going to post my holiday haul.... I hadn't bought really any makeup in a while so I thought I would stock up =) Disclaimer: I am not bragging about what I bought I am showing you just coz! It looks like a lot more when its all pictured together haha.

Please don't stone me because I bought fake MAC!! As you probably know in Phuket they have lots of knock offs bags etc but I wanted to try this fake stuff to see if it compares. & no it doesn't! The 8 palette is a tone of BS, its ok to swatch with your finger but as soon as you go to use a brush it disappears! The blush I knew from the moment it was fake, as soon as I opened it the pan fell out because the glue had become loose. It also opens up down the bottom to reveal a mirror & brush ha. But alas it is quit pigmented. The mineral duo looking ones could easily fool a person. The purple one (which I have been using in my FOTDs lately) is called Earthly Riches & The green is called "Fresh GreeM Mix" Yes that's green with a m! These ones have pretty good pigment & the label is super believable. Lastly the 2 bottom ones, on the left is by "Sivanna Colours" I have never heard of it before & the left is yet another fake called Prismique that swatched nicely but not with a brush. Please note that the girls who were selling these said flat out they were not genuine.
These ones are not knock offs as you can see the Revlon ones. 1st one on the left is by a brand called Kate which I saw everywhere over there but never heard of before. I have done a FOTD with that so you can see the pigmentation which is not shabby. Then I bought the PR foundation again coz I needed a lighter one, Colorburst lipstick in Fushia, Grow Luscious mascara & a Maybelline Eye Studio Liquid Eyeliner. The prices compared to Aussie $ were with the foundation about $18, the mascara was $10 & lipstick $8. Can't remember about the liquid eyeliner!
Some polishes I bought over there, can't remember the brands and I can't be bothered going to have a look ;) but I've used the glitter ones which I like & swatched the green one only which seemed to go on nicely. The white one is a fine brush/ pen which I have wanted for a while, unfortunately they didn't have black :(
Some more of there brands, both by the same called Glitz 4U2 which swatched well & the lipgloss was free.
SO's mum & I had a blast in 'The Makeup Store' which is a more expensive brand that I had seen in magazines. I went crazy swatching the blushes but couldn't decided so I didn't get anything. :( We went mad with the pencils, MIL-to-be bought 10! but she accidentally got 2 purples so she gave that to me. The one in the pot is a loose eyedust called Dream which is a pretty light pink. The pencils are named (l-r) Crazy Lazy & Go Wild. I will have to swatch these for you!!
Now I'm back to what I bought back home in Aus. I got these all with the exception of Lush (haha) from David Jones. I got the Britney Spears Radiance Perfume, O.P.I Black shatter (I actually bought it from a friend who didn't like the black) & another Rimmel L/s called Shocking Pink since I love the other one I have! The next l/s & 2 eyeshadows are a David Jones Brand (oh if you don't know, its comparable to Macy's in the US, I think) which were affordable so I thought I might as well try them. I loove the l/s wish I bought more!! Its in the colour sunburst, & the 2 e/s are called Honeycomb & Sandstorm. & Lastly I finally got Lush's Bubblegum lip scrub! Yummy!
I bought these all from Priceline, l-r Models Prefer e/s in famous, Australis Paparazzi Eye Primer (review coming!) + Australis Paparazzi foundation in Nude. Also got a teasing brush for $4.99!
Now onto Duty Free in Singapore & In Perth. Omg I wish I bought wayy more! Oh & those nail polishes all look the same thanks to the flash! haha. I think I will post pics again later. I had already bought 1 O.P.I in Singa but I got back to perth & saw 2 for $25!! 2 are a pinky colour & ones more orangey. I bought another Revlon Colorburst l/s in Candy Pink & a Lancome Juicy Tube in Framboise which I have wanted one forever & this colour is to die for! (in normal light lol) Also down to the big thing. I finally bought some MAC!! I only had the strobe cream (Paid $55 in Aus 7 months ago, could have bought for $30!!!!) but I FINALLY bought the 217 brush (finally! It is mine! :P) & Peachykeen blush & 1 e/s in Satin Taupe. Omigosh I got too overwhelmed & If I wanted to buy 1 coloured e/s I would have needed to buy a lot more to go with it. So I stuck with Satin Taupe although I wish I didn't now coz the colour is similar to what I already have. :( Oh & they had none of the l/s I wanted like Impassioned or Morange! =( Ohwell next time I go I will go crazier!
Wow I didn't think I was going to write so much lol but thanks if you got through that! If you are curious of anything or want swatches please let me know!! =)

Yep that's right, yesterday I turned the big 2-0 haha :P Well its not really big, it just means I am no longer a teen :0

Products after pics! + some going out pictures :) We went out the Saturday night which was the day before my birthday & on Sunday my fiance (weird to say, right!?) & I went to lunch and went for a little bit of a walk along the jetty. & On Sunday night I had some family come around for chinese =)
Pic heavy!
Eyes:
Silver creme base on lid, Nyx JEP in Slate on the outer lid
Silvery-White e/s on the lid, dark purple outer lid
Black in crease blended out with the same dark purple colour
Purple & Black on lower lash line.
Cheeks:
MAC Peachykeen Blush
NYX White Pearl to highlight
Lips:
I didn't pay too much attention to my lips so I just used Nyx l/s summer love & layered Iris over the top.

Yes my skin is photoshopped by my camera. On camera it didn't look like the photos were turning out so I used this function just in case. |

PMs and the LME Warehouse Scam
Gata and ZeroHedge have picked up on this Wall Street Journal article on bankster owned warehouses restricting deliveries out to the minimum amount allowed by the LME. The scam is summarised by the Financial Times: buyers "must keep on paying rent on the metal even after you have asked for it to be delivered, giving warehouse companies a guaranteed income stream".
But with no restrictions on how quickly metal can come in (and the bankster warehouses have been bidding for metal to be delivered into their warehouses from producers) it "has had the effect of driving the cost of metal in the physical market in the US to the highest level in more than a decade relative to LME prices". The FT notes however that this creates the risk that "the LME contract risks becoming entirely detached from the physical market."
Apart from the storage fee scam, an increasing price is good for the banksters because it makes it easier to sell commodities as an alternative investment class to institutional investors (see FT on Goldman Sachs).
Problem is, with lots of metal coming in but restrictions on it going out and you end up with increasing stockpiles. That doesn't help the story that commodity prices will rise. Solution: take the metal "off warrant" which, as FT Alphaville points out, just transfers it into a "non-LME storage facilities or simply being classified private non-LME registered stock in the very same warehouses. Kept out of sight, so to speak."
The scam here is that (FT Alphaville again) "the industry still reads cancelled warrants as an indicator of physical demand" which is positive for prices, however "many of the 'cancelled' warrants are ... not transforming into real deliveries, they’re just being stacked elsewhere in the same warehouse. In which case the demand they insinuate is potentially not real at all."
Precious metals are not subject to the warehouse outward restrictions scam and the spot market is much bigger than futures anyway, from a physical point of view. However, the "off warrant" scam can be played, particularly on fools like ZeroHedge who get all excited about COMEX eligible and registered trends while ignoring (ignorant of?) the "stock" sitting in ETFs and, more importantly, the dark pool that is bullion bank vaults. And don't fall for the "its fractional" false flag. Yeah unallocated is fractional, but what is missed is that if the amount of fractional is giga-enormous, then even at 10:1 or even AIGish 40:1, the amount of physical metal being held in the system is still enormous.
Which is why I am very interested in this ETF bar list project and am doing what I can to help, as this I believe holds the potential to reveal just how big that dark pool of stock really is.
