Real Technique Blush Brush
Real Technique brushes by Sam Chapman (One of the talented ladies behind pixiwoo) is available in Australia at selected Priceline stores. I had a look in a few but as far as I know it was available in the pharmacy's only, but it doesn't hurt to ask if. This retails for $9 (I think) in the US but I got mine for $25 which is a price I'd normally pay anyway so its NBD to me.
About the brush: It is super soft & fluffy for applying blush. It has a tapered end that is perfect for a light contour, not something I'd replace my contour brush with, however I'd use it for a light dusting of bronzer. As for using it for blush, I apply it on the side of the bristles, that way it is large enough for my cheeks & the blush is distributed nicely. Otherwise it can end up only on the apples of the cheeks, becoming hard to blend.
I like the handle on it, it is super sleek and feels nice to hold lol, and the bottom is rubbery and wider at the base so it's able to stand up on it's own if that's how you like to store your brushes, the only annoying thing is that it's harder to fit into my brush roll & it takes up more room. The handle is long enough so you can apply blush without pressure, which is what can lead to the appearance of clown cheeks so that's a good thing :P
As for the other real technique brushes you can get, I found Priceline didn't have the biggest selection. You can get the starter kits of $50 I think, but on the real technique's website they are only $18! I have heard you can buy them at iherb.com for a decent price and they ship overseas, the RT website also now sells them online but I couldn't see if they were international or not.
Overall I do recommend this brush, and I definitely want to purchase the eyes starter kit & setting brush when I have finished my no-buy, if I can last that long!! At the end of the day, the prices may be jacked up heaps here but it's better then nothing! :)
Compared to the Eco Tools blush brush. You can see the shapes are totally different.
And since you've seen them, here are my NOTW :]
Yes, my pinky nail broke and my ring finger is not far from the same destiny =/
I lovee this colour combo, It was a bit too orangey without the NP from FaceIt over the top, which gave it a nice peachy sheen. Don't get me wrong I love orange polish but it wasn't for my dress on the weekend lol.
The colours from L-R are C'est La Vie & OR202
Thanks for reading, I hope this was usefull!

Deer and elk migrating to gold
Like this from "blogger" David Edwards recent market comments:
"... the recent tone in Washington D C has been one that castigates those who work hard to earn more. Everyone understands that this is a pre-emptive claim on citizens' private assets by a greedy government. During the Roosevelt administration the tone was similar. The result was the same: anyone with money kept a low profile and cut back on consumption and investment prolonging the depression and high unemployment for years.
When you go to a gold mine during hunting season you see lots of deer and elk hanging around the property. These animals sense that they are safe in these no hunting zones. In the coming years, anyone with assets will do the same. The reports from Starbucks and other businesses that service upper income clients is telling me that the migration has begun."
Balayage hair + glitzy club makeup!
I'm so sorry guys, I'm apologizing for the lack of posts again! Soo I got my hair done a couple of weeks back.. mainly coz my stupid roots were showing through haha.. I swear my hair grows too fast! This time she did more balayage through all of it, instead of just a few front sections like before. The only thing I will change next time is to probably just do the base colour through the top sections only to break up the lighter ends. It looks good curled, but there's kinda like a line between the colour when it's straight.
Aandd- I hate bleach, my ends feel yucky now & they tangle so easily! My hair is so much more static when I brush it too lol :(
Lipstick is vivaglam nicki in case you're wondering.
This is the making I wore for clubbing in the city. Mostly phone pics again sorry!
Face: Australis Paparazzi Perfect fdtn
MAC dollymix blush
All About Glo Bronzer
Eyes:
Nyx JEP in Black Bean, drawn into crease using small brush, winging out slightly, also on lower lashline.
Noir- Sleek Bad Girl, blended over line, using underground & gunmetal to blend out black. Cut back into the crease with Noir & a sharp-lined brush. Use these on the lower lash line too. I think I also used Urban Decay Tease to blend.
Stila Kitten on the lid
Pixie Epoxy over Kitten, and then the MK&A glitter from my recent haul over the top. I wish I had MAC reflex gold [I think] to compare it too.
Urban Decay Bootycall to highlight
Maybelline Line Allure for the eyeliner.
BYS gel eyeliner.
BYS eyelashes in Starlette
Lips: Inglot #253. I applied it horribly in the car, sorry!
Thoughts on the eyelashes:
These are the ones I also bought in my haul. I really like the whispy-ness & the diamontes on them for added bling, but they were still hard to work with. The band wasn't as flimsy as one I've tried before, but as the glue was drying I couldn't roll it into shape because it went almost straight when I put them on. Also I don't like how you can see the lash band, but it's only noticeable up close.
So, I really should give cut creases a break for a while, but since I've found out that I can actually do them it's a lot of fun to do for a night out!!
I hope you enjoyed this post.

Shortage followup questions
Some good questions from a thread on my shortage interview at silverstackers.com forum, cut and paste below:
Bron
In that interview I was sort of covering the material in this discussion.
The summary text "invest large amounts of capital towards ramping up production" I think got mixed up, what I was saying was WHILE production has been expanded, it is not enough.
When push comes to shove, Depository clients will get preferential supply for collection requests as we have a legal obligation to make delivery whereas we don't have a legal obligation to sell coins to someone off the street, so to speak.
Gino
And yet, even though there were two month delivery lead times, it didn't move the price of silver at all in 2008/09. there was no price spike to reflect the demand pressures in the investment market and the apparently constrained supply. It was very interesting as an investor participating and not at all what one would expect. But then the reason was it wasn't the raw material that was in short supply, only the blanks for coins. Although I recall delays on bars as well.
So is the point here that there may be physical delays, but don't necessarily interpret that as a resource availability issue? But if the price does move, what would it mean? Does the price just come down to the paper markets and the manipulations of it by TPTB?
Bron
The thing about rationing or high premiums is that it takes pressure off the underlying wholesale market. For example if people are paying 40% premiums for silver coins when the normal is 10% premium, then $30 out of every $140 spent is going to retailers/mints as extra profits rather than buying more silver. If mints were able to keep up then of that $140, $130 would be going to buying (or bidding up the price) of silver.
Excess premiums, whether it is in coins or say PSLV, just means less ounces are being bought. That is why I don't think high premiums are anything to celebrate.
The price is driven by both the physical market and paper market, which is more dominant changes over time.
southerncross
Would you not agree tho that paper is the dominant market? Say for example just as a thought exercise that just silver alone was for some unexpected reason deemed only acceptable in it's physical form as a means of trade and that all the phantom paper Silver disappeared overnight due to some sort of black swan event.
People who have an PMDS for example cant just pick up the phone and buy X amount instantly and those sorts with unallocated accounts etc cant just use their phone to "say" they actually own it, they have to physically produce it.
Bron
Certainly paper often has the upper hand, but many desk-based commentators who aren't in the markets don't realise how much physical is also traded. Blogger FOFOA has a theory that since bullion bank unallocated accounts are fractionally backed bullion bankers are particularly concerned when the physical market starts to suck out metal, draining their reserves (which if left unchecked could take too much physical and result in a bullion bank run). His theory is they push the price UP (not down) as that means the same dollars buy LESS ounces, taking pressure off their reserves. I hope this gives one example of how complex the physical vs paper dynamics can be.
Not sure I understand your point about PMDS. If we went to a physical only market then we would only sell to a PMDS client if we could get/had physical silver.
southerncross
Now I know it's a far flung what if and an extreme example, and I am not by any means saying that the Perth Mint itself is selling more Silver on paper than what it physically holds, but there are many examples around the world of paper precious metals magically teleporting from or too certain vaults with nothing more than the push of a keyboard and a few typed lines of evidence to say that they actually exist. Literally millions of ounces that would need a convoy of armoured car's and associated security personnel to transport that don't actually happen in the real physical world.
Bron
It is a common misunderstanding that the ETF allocations involve physical movement. As most of them store their metal in London, all that is happening is that silver already in the vault (which belonged to someone else who sold it to a bullion bank) is just sold to the ETF authorised participant and they just change a computer record saying that bar in the vault now belongs to the ETF AP (who then transfers title to the ETF trust).
southerncross
Q: Would you as a personal investor in precious metals trust anyone else apart from the Perth Mint if you invested solely in paper or unallocated Precious Metals ?
Bron
It all comes down to the custodian. You either trust them or not. If you don't then not even allocated will be safe. Regarding unallocated, I don't think apart from ourselves and Kitco that there are many who explicitly state that their unallocated is 100% backed, and that is really only possible for businesses which have physical as part of their business. If you are buying unallocated from a bank, then very high chance it is being lent in some form as that is what banks do.
southerncross
Sorry Bron two questions actually, And this one go's back to the statement I quoted of yours above. Q: Do you think the paper market is manipulated by able bodied self interested parties? Again I ask this with no reflection on the Perth Mint as they are not a Bank or associated with the rise and fall of the stock market etc just on your statement on the physical and paper market.
Bron
I would not be surprised if the metals markets are manipulated, but as we are not traders in the big paper markets (eg COMEX) we don't have any evidence one way or the other. However I don't believe the metals markets are suppressed, which I distinguish from manipulation (which is short term). Suppressed means the price is kept lower over a number of years. Those who think this way don't appreciate (or is that respect) the power of the physical market, by which I mean to suppress you ultimately have to supply physical to the market and there is only so much above ground in the hands of the central bankers.
Black_Sun
Yes, all metal is NOT held physically at PM... all explained in goldchat.
Bron
To clarify, unallocated is backed by physical in our operations in Perth, but also by some physical in transit and temporarily sitting in overseas warehouses on its way to distributors, and by a bit of unallocated held with bullion banks (which is converted to physical on a regular basis). If you're not comfortable with the unallocated business model then go with allocated. 85% of Depository clients (by ounces) hold unallocated, the rest allocated.

"Bron Suchecki, who's in charge of strategy for the famed Perth Mint, is warning all precious metals investors that the next crisis will lead to heightened precious metals demand so expect shortages and mint rationing. This is exactly what happened in 2008, and the next crisis could very well be worse." Curious statement. In 2008 the ass fell out of silver while there was a supposed physical shortage? Defies logic and economic norms.
Bron
You're confused because you're not using precise terminology. Restated: "In 2008 the ass fell out of silver due to selling by leveraged paper players needing cash to pay for other losses, while there was a physical shortage of RETAIL sized coins and bars." In fact, the leveraged paper selling, because of arbitrage, would have resulted in associated physical wholesale sized silver (ie 1000oz) bars coming into the market. This is why we didn't have any problem getting hold of 1000oz bars out of London during 2008 even while we were maxed out in the factory making coins.

Expect Precious Metals Shortages During The Next Crisis
Fear mongering is the stock in trade of most gold commentators/spin merchants it seems, so here is my modest contribution in this interview with Kerry Lutz :)
Seriously, the industry's limited (in the face of mass market demand) production capacity is just a fact, and one I've covered many times before on this blog (see the Shortage label).
I got a lot of grief in this forum discussion about why the Perth Mint wasn't massively expanding capacity for the obvious demand surge that would happen in the future. I covered that briefly in the interview - shock - minting is not that profitable compared to other investment opportunities. The result is no entrepreneurial money goes into building mints.
As an example, look at where the entrepreneurial effort has gone in precious metals - distribution, eg GoldMoney & BullionVault. These are low cost software based businesses which haven't even bothered to build and run their own vaults. That's not a criticism, it is smart business. Who wants to spend $100m+ builidng a start of the art high volume precious metal mint to earn revenue of 4.5% on a 1oz coin? Note, 4.5% is gross revenue, not profit. There ain't much left after operational costs, depreciation, tax etc.
As I say in the interview, it may only be increasing premiums which will draw investment into the industry. However, that will take time to translate into extra capacity. The end result I see is sustained high premiums, which will make pooled metal "products" like Perth Mint Depository, GoldMoney, & BullionVault and, unfortunately, ETFs, a lot more attractive to the mass market coming into precious metals for the first time.

I haven't done any non-metals stuff on this blog, but since Kid Dynamite is always going on about how great his dogs are :) I just thought I'd lay down a challenge to out cute our new addition.
A few old neutral looks!
Hey guys! These are from a little while ago now, sorry about that!! I think I will have to slow down on posting a bit again... not that I'm posting that much anyways :P I've got to focus on my study a whole lot more... but I promise I will have my reviews coming up from my haul, one at a time!!
So these are just some neutral-ish looks from as I said a whiiille ago. Hope you like!
Arabic Inspired
So this look kinda went with the flow, I would have loved to play around with the liner more, but just adding the white underneath made it feel Arabic. It was such a simple, easy look to do in the morning before work.

FOTN using my MAC products from my haul
So of course after purchasing my new products I had to use as many as I could at the same time :P Which was perfect because I bought 1 eye, 1 cheek & 1 lip product from MAC, and I couldn't have cared less if it was complementary or not LOL.
Obviously this is not tonight's FOTN, it's from last week :)
So we went to Adelaide for the weekend, and after a walk in the city and a quick shopping trip we made a booze run and went back to the apartment for some drinks to catch up with a friend we hadn't seen in a few years. And then we went for a night on the town.
Models Prefer undereye concealer
Cheeks: MAC Dollymix Blush (Hard to see in the pics but I did apply a bit, just didn't want to go overboard IRL)
Highlighter: Models Prefer Illuminator
Contour: Nude by Nature Eye Definer
Eyes:
Nyx Black Bean JEP (creased quite quickly, must have applied a smidge too much, also in waterline)
MAC Contrast E/S (applied with a flat brush on lid, blended out with 217, also on lower lashline)
Sleek Bad Girl: Grays, Black, Blue to darken (LMK if you'd like to know specific names) Also white & skin tone colour for highlighting.
BYS lashes in Gliterazzi
Lips: Viva Glam Nicki L/S
My hair was also a rush 15 minute job with a 1 1/2 inch curling wand but it didn't turn out too bad!
please ignore that eyelash, makes my eye look wonky up close ahaha.
Just enjoying a drink from our balcony from the 18th floor of our apartments with the city life behind me. HA you can kinda see the lipstick marks all over my glass but look at my lips! Still a heap of lipstick on them (I didn't need to reapply for the good part of the night)
Thanks so much for looking.
I'd also like to point out that I'm on instagram, and I've got a sad amount of followers so add me on missashii_x and I'll follow you back!

Sprott is short 1.8moz of silver
Interesting analysis by blogger Kid Dynamite on the latest Sprott PSLV offerring Eric Sprott Must Think Silver is Going Lower!
One point he makes is that there was 0.3920oz per share before the offerring but as Sprott did not buy all the silver, the silver backing the shares is now only 0.3738oz. So Sprott has to buy another 1,858,312oz to bring the ounces per share back up to 0.3920oz otherwise existing holders get screwed as they will have less silver per share than they had before the offerring (calc is number of shares 101,966,125 x 0.3920oz/share less ounces already in the trust of 38112409).
So Sprott is currently short 1.8 million ounces of silver, which is why Kid Dynamite says Sprott think the price is going lower.
The question this raises is what is Sprott's breakeven price above which he starts to lose money. This depends on how much cash he leaves in the fund. Say he keeps same % cash buffer as before. The calc is $889,768,892 / $898,311,957 = 99.05% or 0.95% of total net assets of the fund as cash. Therefore we take the cash the fund has now of $1,095,058,167 x 0.95% = $10,403,052. As the fund currently has $59,734,563 in cash as per Kid Dynamite's calculation, this means he has $49,331,511 to spend on buying silver (59,734,563 - 10,403,052).
So if we divide $49,331,511 by 1,858,312oz we get $26.54. However, he could hold a lower amount of cash. I'd guess the lowest reasonable cash balance would be $8m as this is less than he had prior to the offerring. In this case ($59,734,563 - $8,000,000) / 1,858,312oz = $27.84.
So if silver goes any higher than $27.84 Sprott loses money. If Sprott is as smart as many think he is then $27.84 or thereabouts represents an intermediate top for silver.
What makes this interesting is that while 1.8moz is not that much relative to the market volumes and would not usually move the market if executed properly, all the bullion market players know Sprott has to buy it. Will be interesting to watch the price Friday US time as I'd be surprised if Sprott would want to leave his 1.8moz short position open over the weekend as if there is some market moving news and gold/silver put on a big move, he is stuffed.
Oops I hauled again.... ;)
Although I'm trying to use up old products, that is not stopping me from a-hauling, especially as we flew over to Adelaide for a long weekend, and I did not want to miss out on any makeup opportunities. And we're staying in Perth for a week, but I think I am happy with my finds now.
OH- as I was shopping, especially one day with my makeup addicted cousin (Ima bad influence, I got her started.... woopsie ;)) I came to the conclusion that I will be on a no buy from when I get home.. that way I will only focus on what I have. I was buying nail polish knowing I had ones at home that I haven't really used. But again, I'm not able to haul too often.
Enough rambling for now, lets get onto the haul!
Inglot
I was shocked when I came across Inglot at Rundell Mall in Adelaide... I got so overwhelmed when I was in there I left empty handed but I knew I would regret it if I didn't get anything so I went back: :D
I don't know how much it is over in the US, but here the eye shadows were $10 each, and I got 3 in a freedom palette which was $11 extra for the palette, however if you have a z palette you can get away without one. They also had some things half priced so I also got a nail polish & lipstick.
I was blinded by the prettiness so I didn't stop to think if I had similar colours already. The middle one looks very similar to MUG's Razzleberry but I fell in love with the colour and didn't think about it. And the purple would look amazingg under a black base. Swatches will be another day! The numbers are L-R 465, 495, 439. Lipstick- 253. Nail polish- 801. To be honest I'm not a fan of the numbers, names are much easier to remember!
I don't really have any bright red nail polish, but this was from the sale bin for $7 so I *had* to pick it up. The lipstick is really pretty as well. Come to think of it, I probably have similar colours, but couldn't be bothered going through them :P
MAC
I was also amazed (mostly jealous, though) that they had 2 MAC counters in David Jones & Myers, plus another one somewhere else in Adelaide. Of course, it is $$$ as hale compared to everywhere else. But I am so so happy I bought what I did.
Dollymix blush, Contrast Eyeshadow, Viva Glam Nicki l/s (I'm in love!!!). The total of these 3 items - you may want to sit down- was $110. The blush costing the most at $41. Not something I'd like to spend everyday haha. But I am so glad I bought them. I actually used them all for one look which will be coming up soon yay :)
Viva Glam Nicki- Depending on the lighting, It looks like a muted pink here but other times it was neon! And it lasted almost all night throughout drinking.
Gloss
You may have seen me mention it before, this shop sells affordable BYS, Chi Chi, as well as reduced Revlon & Maybelline etc, their own brand of brushes & hair/ jewelery/ bags.
1/2/3: BYS eyelashes 4: Hot lips tattoo... So wanted to give this a go! 5: Chi Chi nail polishes, BYS french tip nail guides 6: Chi Chi Eyeliner in Caribbean Queen, BYS eyeliner in Deep Purple, BYS Animal Instincts l/g in Grape. 7: Mary Kate & Ashley Glitter (this was free with an eyeshadow which I cannot find at the moment)
Edit: I also bought a neon eyeliner, a Gloss Professions straight eyeliner brush & a BYS stick concealer as a backup.
I already have had similar eyelashes before but I've always liked the style and I know I'll use them. The 1st 2 are pretty much the same except the 2nd one has jewels on the outer corner. The names of these are Lash Envy, Starlette & Glitterazzi. It's hard to see in the picture but the third ones are sparkly. I have tried some before but they were really flimzy, but as you can see I've used the 3rd ones and they're a lot better. I'll have a proper review later.
I got these nail polishes for $3.95, in the colours Material Girl & Hissy Fit. I am looking forward to trying these out!!! EDIT: I'm wearing them now, really purple holographic colours but the purple is a PITA to apply.
I also swatched the eyeliners, lip gloss & MKA Glitter. The Chi Chi is a little bit more expensive at $13.95 but the BYS was $3.95 I believe? I received the lip gloss for free as a promotion (it's more smell & glitter than colour) I swatched the glitter horribly but when I saw it I thought of MACs reflex glitters -- not that I own any or know what they really look like lol.
Priceline
Priceline has some great things in at the moment, we basically ran around screaming LOL. My cousin and I were in heaven. Firstly, Real Technique by Sam Chapman (Pixiwoo, just in case you're not familiar) brushes are finally in Australia!! Of course they are overpriced. I got this blush brush for $22.90 (review coming soon). This was the last one left in this shop, they had a few kits for $50 - I think there were 6 brushes in it?- and some buffing brushes, but I was wanting a new blush brush and this was perfect.
Also- Ohemgeee Maybelline Color Tattoos are in! And I can't believe they're only $11.95. I got them in Tenacious Teal & Painted purple. I was actually going to buy TT online after seeing a recent Pixi2woo vid but I'm so glad I didn't!!
I also bought a nail polish by Savvy in Blue Bayou, an Australis lip & cheek stain in Da Vinci Peach on sale for $2.59 & a backup of my HG primer by Face of Australia.
EDIT: I also bought the colour tattoo in Audacious Asphalt, a backup Max Factor False Lash effect (normally $24.95, got it for $9.95!!) and a lime green nail polish from Models Prefer.
Swatches of the tint and colour tattoos- when I swatched them on my hand in the shop they lasted all day, even with wiping lol. I hope it doesn't stain my eyes! I will swatch these again properly.
Target
L-R Essence I <3 extreme volume mascara, Essence I <3 stage eyeshadow base, Face it NP (actually from The Face Shop) in OR202, Sally Hansen Gem Crush NP in Lady Luck, Essence NP in C'est La Vie!, Rimmel Wake me up Foundation in soft beige.
It will be a while before I do a review of the Essence mascara & primer & the Rimmel Foundation as I have my project empty products to use. But I tested the foundation quickly and so far so good!
Thank you for looking, if you have any questions about any of these products LMK :) xx

Taking your makeup from day to night.
I understand that this day makeup may be too much for some, but in this post I am going to show you how I take my makeup from day to night. There's not a huge difference, but there's a few main factors that can change your makeup from 'work' to 'night-on-the-town'. Depending on how much makeup you like to wear, of course. I don't always have natural makeup for the day though :D
In this first pic I understand that it just looks like different lighting (which it is, day time [left] is natural, while night [right] is artificial light). You will probably see in the full face pic the differences. The main things I like to do to change it up is 1: add more depth with darker colours, & 2: adding more eyeliner/ mascara or falsies. I only used individual lashes here so it's not a huge difference.
And of course, if you wear a tinted moisturizer or a light foundation during the day, you can add a heavier foundation for night time, especially if you are going to be taking pictures and you want your skin to look flawless. (This is the main reason why I love my Australis Paparazzi Foundation - I should do a review for any aussies out there if your keen). More blush & contouring/ highlighting is another big thing. Of course if you want to keep the eyes easy, a bold lip is great for night as well.
Day: I used the Urban Decay naked 1 palette. It was very loosely based off this look by Samantha Schuerman that I did by memory, lol. Except mines not as 'clean' :(. I had quite a bit of blush on but a fairly light base (my everyday base) & nude lips which are Makeup Geek lipstick in Shy. You can just wear bronzer during the day if that is what you prefer.
Night:
Silly face! :P Haven't posted one of these in a while... hehe
~Products~
Face:
Australis Paparazzi Perfect Fdtn in Nude
Models Prefer Highlighter
All About Glo bronzer
Milani Baked Blush in Fantastico Mauve
Eyes:
Urban Decay Naked palette:
Sin (Lid), Creep (crease, lower lash line), Gunmetal (above Creep) Naked to blend out Gunmetal. Virgin as a highlight
MUG Corrupt to darken crease
Maybelline Master Precise eyeliner
Prestige My Brow Duo (illuminate side- in waterline). This is probably more for day time lol, I should have used a black gel liner here instead.
Max Factor False Lash Effect mascara
A couple of individual false lashes
Lips:
Topshop lipstick in Show Off
I find you do not need to take your makeup off and start from scratch- as long as you used primer during the day you should be fine. This is even the same for my foundation- because I only set it with a tiiiny bit of powder it does not turn cakey (but I use a primer to ensure that it will last)
You can also easily bring a few extra makeup items to work if you don't have time to go home & do your makeup for your night out.
Thank you for looking, I hope you enjoyed this post & it was helpful! xxx
